Anti-cancer effects of lucidadiol against malignant melanoma cells

Abstract Melanoma is one of the most aggressive and lethal skin cancers. Lucidadiol a triterpenoid isolated from Ganoderma lucidum known to have various biological functions, including antibacterial effects. However, anti-cancer effects mechanism action lucidadiol in malignant melanoma are unknown. In this study, significantly reduced B16 cell viability dose- time-dependent manner. addition, induced apoptosis suppressed mobility cells. Moreover, our findings revealed that remarkably downregulated phospho-Akt/ERK/JNK, but not p38. Taken together, results suggest could exerts its by inducing via modulation Akt/MAPK pathway. Therefore, may be potential cancer therapeutic agent for melanoma.
